Tallawarra Homestead

the translation of Tallawarra in Aboriginal is “come and sit”

Set amongst 28 acres (approx. 11 hectares) Tallawarra  is a classic Colonial style reproduction homestead.

Janine and Andrey started building the homestead as owner builders in 2010 and construction was completed in October 2011. There had been extensive thought and planning as to what style of house design would be best suited to provide our guests a true Australian feel and stay.

The decision was made to approach Harkaway Homes who specialise in Australian reproduction homes, to create a residence that would for fill our requirements and the result, Tallawarra.

This imposing homestead nestles gently into the surrounding hillside, with its oatmeal coloured blocks and striking roofline. The three gables and portico front entrance give an unmistakable look of an Australian homestead

A grand, wide verandah surrounds the homestead, providing shelter for those wishing to have their morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine.

Majestic Pin Oaks greet you as you enter the property, and a meandering tree lined driveway delivers you to your destination, Tallawarra Homestead.
