Reading Room

Tallawarra Homestead features a Reading Room, with a large selection of books covering many topics, with comfortable chairs to read and relax in. Those guests who are tempted to start reading a novel are invited not to put it down on departure, but to take it home and return the book, at our cost!

Formal Room

The Formal Room features multiple seating arrangements with antique furniture featuring throughout. A large dining table allows group bookings of eight guests to enjoy breakfast together, or celebrate that special occasion.

Bar & Dining

A purpose-built bar featuring a large selection of spirits and local wines. Guests are free to order their choice of Beveridge or bring their own drinks. An ice machine ensures constant ice to keep the ice buckets topped! Bars are always a place where people tend to gather, and Bar 3 is no exception.

Built after the Bunyip Complex Bushfires by a local artisan furniture craftsman, the bar features a five hundred year timber River Gum slab from the Moama district, with the black frame work depicting  the blacken tree trunks after the fire, and the blackwood panels, representing new growth.

Our favourite and indeed our guest’s favourite room. Completed during the qualifying period, the room is a large expanse of open space. Nearly ten squares allow guests plenty of open space to relax, with high vaulted ceilings, clear uninterrupted views of the surrounding pasture and bush parcel it is an incredibly special place.  In the cooler months, the wooden fire warms the hearts and spirits of guests as they relax with a glass of wine, and in the warmer months the café blinds are rolled up to allow a gentle breeze waft through the Coolgardie. This is the perfect space to enjoy the natural amphitheater and watch the kangaroo’s graze.

True 5-star luxury. Delicious food, wonderful venue, and deeply relaxing.

We spent most of our time enjoying the newly built massive sunroom with wrap around windows on 3 sides.

We truly recommend Tallawarra B&B for down time with stunning Aussie views.

The rooms and the properties were in immaculate condition, and the bed was so good we found it very difficult to get up in the mornings.

Loved everything about the homestead ... super comfortable beds, very clean, beautiful, peaceful, private and quiet. Definitely unique place to spend few days.

Andre and Janine were absolutely amazing hosts. they were so lovely. The property was clean, comfortable and seeing the kangaroos bouncing across the grounds was a highlight.

The hosts are delightful, friendly, and helpful in every way. Would highly recommend as a place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful countryside.

If I could rate this accommodation and service a 100 I would. This placed warmed our hearts, even more so for the service and kind, gentle 5 star service of the host/hostess.

The homestead is a short drive from Melbourne, but isolated such that the
tranquillity of open space and forest surrounds you and immediately provides a sense of peace and quiet. Highly recommended and we'll be back to recharge.
