Bunyip State Forest is only a couple of kilometres from Tallawarra Homestead and is just one of a couple of locations where the endangered Helmeted Honeyeaters, Victoria’s bird emblem has been placed to encourage breeding. Also close in close proximity to Tallawarra Homestead is Mt. Cannibal Flora and Fauna Reserve.
There are walking tracks throughout Bunyip State Forest.
