Tallawarra Homestead is Open!

Tallawarra Homestead has reopened after the enforced closure due to the Covid-19 virus. Even though there were no guests during this time, there has been much activity resulting in a major extension to the property that has created an immediate impact. We are proud to showcase our new Coolgardie Room. This extension adjoins the previous Bar 3, a great place to relax and sit in front of the open fire with a glass of great local wine. Bar 3 has an extensive selection of spirits including a large range of Irish Whisky. Local wines are also well represented.

The Coolgardie is a large open plan  area, uniquely designed to maximize everything that is loved about the Australian Bush In Winter, the café blinds are down, allowing  the warmth of our wood heater to make one cosy, and in the warmer months, the blinds go up and the amazing sounds and smell of the Australian bush is like no other experience!

Small Weddings and functions can be arranged, so both Janine and Andrey would love to hear from you to discuss your requirements.

The safety and well being of our guests has always taken priority at Tallawarra Homestead, and we have further enhanced  this process  with additional cleaning procedures to ensure we have ticked all boxes for our guests, to ensure peace of mind.

“We care about our guests! “

Rose Arbour

The Rose’s that were planted in late August 2018 are showing off their beautiful blooms.

Dedicated to Kathleen Lebkowski, there are seven varieties from Climbing roses to Standards. Our guests just love the very comfortable outdoor chairs, and thoroughly enjoy the tranquillity of the arbour.
Come nightfall, the festoon lights come on the kookaburras start singing, just the perfect way to end the day with a glass of one of Gippsland’s great wines.

Just another reason to come and enjoy a stay at Tallawarra Homestead

We would encourage you to support them in this amazing challenge,  and will endeavour to keep everyone posted as to how the guys are travelling.

OPEN FOR BUSINESS

Tallawarra Homestead has re-opened to full operations and we are looking forward to welcoming our guests.

Work is continuing and will continue to re build fences and at this stage the plan is to create a new memorial garden for Janine’s parents where the original farm house once stood that was lost during the fires.

The paddocks are turning green with the recent rains, and before long, our beautiful bush parcels will begin their regeneration.

Autumn is a wonderful time of the year to visit Gippsland, and there is no better place than Tallawarra Homestead in Tonimbuk, the gateway to Gippsland, to base your stay.

The large fire in the Coolgardie room is raring to go, the ideal place to enjoy one of the beautiful wines that the region has to offer.
