Coolgardie
How Australian can you get! This grand room has been created for you to enjoy the great outdoors in lavish surrounds, whilst remaining in the protection of an enclosed area.
The term Coolgardie stems from the original meaning of the name, a safe place to store supplies hung on the verandah. The Coolgardie room uses the same principle to keep guests cool in the hot summer months.
The room has two walls of sandstone, double French doors and on the western side wire doors and screens to protect against insects, enabling everyone to enjoy that outdoor feeling.
The wood fire provides the perfect back drop as you gaze out on a forest of eucalyptus trees past cattle quietly grazing. Mobs of kangaroos gather at dusk to start feeding, and the occasional wombat can be seen nonchalantly meandering across the paddocks enjoying an early evening feed.
The Coolgardie room is a great place enjoy a wine, or afternoon tea of scones, preserves and chantilly cream which is served for our guests daily between 2.30 pm and 4.30 pm.
